As if you needed another reason to click "purchase" here are a few that I know to be true:
- Better Quality! Everyone knows that handmade generally means better made.
- It’s unique! Mostly, if you are buying something handmade, you’re one of the few that has it. Unlike mass produced jewelry, handmade items are limited quantities or even one-of-a-kind.
- Customization! You want a green stone instead of a blue one? No problem. Gold instead of silver? You got it!
- Shopping local! It’s good for the environment and good for you. Supporting local artists supports your community.
- Maintenance of goods! If you lose an earring (they’re just like socks!) you can often have your local artist make another for you.
I'm also pretty sure that buying jewelry counts as self care. I think I heard that somewhere.
